Wilde Friday

Some Wit and Wisdom from one of my favorite authors, Oscar Wilde:

Oscar WildeI never put off till tomorrow what I can possibly do–the day after.

The American woman is the most decorated and decorative object I have seen in America.

Laughter is not at all a bad beginning for a friendship, and it is far the best ending for one.

The only difference between the saint and the sinner is that every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future.

[London society] is entirely composed now of beautiful idiots and brilliant lunatics. Just what Society should be.

Create yourself. Be yourself your poem.

One should absorb the color of life, but one should never remember its details. Details are always vulgar.

One should always play fairly…when one has the winning cards.

Good resolutions are useless attempts to interfere with scientific laws. Their origin is pure vanity.

Nothing is worth doing except what the world says is impossible.

With that last thought, I’ll wish you a happy Wilde Friday…
