Yes, it’s Super Bowl Sunday. But with Valentine’s Day a week away, I wanted to share this yummy, easy, and impressive chocolate covered strawberries recipe. Thank you, Betty Crocker!
18-20 large strawberries
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips or, or you can use white vanilla baking chips
1 teaspoon shortening or vegetable oil
• 1 Gently rinse strawberries and dry on paper towels (be sure strawberries are completely dry). Line cookie sheet with waxed paper.
• 2 In 1-quart saucepan, melt chocolate chips and shortening over low heat, stir frequently. Remove from heat.
• 3 Dip lower half of each strawberry into chocolate mixture; allow excess to drip back into saucepan. Place on waxed paper-lined tray or cookie sheet.
• 4 Refrigerate uncovered for about 30 minutes or until chocolate is firm. Store covered in refrigerator so chocolate does not soften.
