I love setting a beautiful table for any holiday.
This past Christmas was especially cold and rainy in the south of Ireland, thanks to Storm Frank. However, weather didn’t dampen our spirits the day my daughter and I visited the Waterford Crystal shop.
Waterford produces many patterns of fine lead crystal stemware. The original company dates back to 1783. Fine flint glass that became known around the world was produced at that time. The company closed in 1851.
Surprisingly, most of the Waterford crystal is now produced outside Ireland in Hungary, Germany, Slovenia, and the Czech Republic. And, we learned that Waterford Crystal makes the 2,688 crystals for the famous ball that is dropped on New Year’s Eve in Times Square.
Some of you may be wondering if I purchased any crystal that day in the Waterford shop. Yes. Three beautiful crystal (and affordable) Christmas ornaments!
Do you have a favorite glassware set you use for the holidays, or at any time? Please share!
And, exciting news! Here is a sneak peek at the cover for my latest sweet romance novella set in Ireland, Oh Danny Boy. Stay tuned!
But in the meantime, I Love You More is still available for .99 cents!
