Spending Time With Friends

IMG_0183My husband, David, and I just spent the last week with friends we’ve known for over 25 years. We rented a cabin way up in the Smokey Mountains outside of Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

We only get to see each other a couple of times a year, and when we’re together, I marvel at how wonderful friendship truly is.

We went exploring through the Smokey Mountain National Park and saw nature at its finest – mountain laurel and wild flowers in bloom, clear streams flowing over huge rocks to carve their way through the mountain, majestic views into the valley below. IMG_0196

This truly is a beautiful part of the country.

And, if you get tired of mountain seclusion, there’s Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge where shopping, moonshine tasting, dancing, thrill rides, and all the pancakes you can eat await you.
