I Finally Baptised the Mazda

Mazda peg_2

Last December I bought a Mazda. I have always been a Ford person, but my Taurus croaked and my daughter found me a Mazda at the right price. My cars always look as though I expect to be homeless any day. I do keep clothes for changing if I spill food or drink on what I wear out of the house. I am prepared for long waits in traffic, the kind that cause traffic to sit for hours and hours. Books for tutoring help me if I get a last minute call to tutor SAT, ACT or just about anything.

I always have drink containers I call my security blankets. A couple of weeks ago I  grabbed a cup of flavored tea from Panera. I placed that cup in a cup holder slot. I’ve tried to be careful about doing that. A few weeks ago I finally managed to upend a Panera cup into the driver’s seat. Every drop of that tea made its way to the seat and tried to soak in. Ms Over-prepared had paper towels and ragged towels to soak up the mess.I let it dry while I had a working supper with Melba Moon. After supper I replaced the wet towels with dry ones and snagged dry cushions from the back seat. The car has been officially baptized!  It’s truly mine.

For a fun summer read!  Laugh out loud situations with ‘tweens and their single parents.

LOL, MM. I have cars like that. And clothes…and carpets…and pillows…:)

I’m the opposite. I’m almost fanatic about having a clean car, although now it needs a bath and tidying. I’d have freaked if I spilled something in my new car (I don’t have a new car!) Yes, I remember Mary’s 4-wheeled live-in cars. HaHa. Linda

Joanne, I spill! That’s one reason I have my “adult sippy cups” with lids! I have been known to prop a can or cup, planning to empty it as I drove, only to empty it pulling from my driveway. With this car I tried to be more careful. At least I bought it “pre-owned”!

Linda knows me too well! I like to have everything I might need. When Daddy was sick I became even worse, since I never knew whether I would stay with Mama 1 day or 3, if she needed me. They were 2 hours away.

People who know me won’t be surprised that I did it, just that it took me so long!
