Do You Have Cabin Fever?

Many people complain about cabin fever in the cold winter months.

So, I looked up the definition:

“Cabin fever is a term for a claustrophobic reaction that takes place when a person or group ends up in an isolated or solitary location, or stuck indoors in confined quarters for an extended period. Cabin fever describes the extreme irritability and restlessness a person may feel in these situations.”

A perfect antidote for cabin fever is to go outdoors, perhaps to your favorite coffee shop, and read a good book.

  1. You’re right, Josie. The best cure is to get out of there, but if it’s been snowing for a week and the temps are in the single digits or below, that ain’t gonna happen. 🙂 Cabin fever occurs simply because you CAN”T get out. Today, I’m attempting to break the cycle…if my car doors will thaw out so I can get into the car!

I hope you can get out! I make sure I take my vitamin D and open a door for five minutes and soak up any sun I can. Naps help me!
